Best Damn Tech Show, Period.

Look, people. I realize that macs are “hot” and macs are “sexy”. Shit, everyone at Pluggd uses them. Why haven’t I turned over to the dark side? It’s mostly cost, but also a major fear of change. But Something happened yesterday that might change my mind. I checked out a programmer here using Parallels. The new version allows you to have windows umm windows open while in osx.

Holy shit it was smooth. I thought, well surely it must be jerky or slow. Nope, seamless. That might help me make the move.

Why are macs so damn expensive though? I don’t think the hardware is THAT superior. The operating system isn’t all that amazing, but I will admit that there’s definitely some nice life helping and time saving things built into it.

When will I take the mac plunge? I don’t know. I interviewed Adam from the MacCast podcast, and I think he shed some more light on why macs are great.

There’s almost some pride involved too. I’ve always supported PC and I’ve always liked Windows. Will the tech world look down on me for pulling a presidential-esque flop?
